Up to my neck in Coarsetoys!!!

Just finished my second Jaws commission. The collector requested to be similar to my previous “Slayer” type figure but not as evil, so I tried to take the concept in a little different direction while still keeping some of my favorite elements in there.

I call this guy “Thunderhead Drallian Slayer” A warrior enchanted with the lightning powers of the Thunderhead breed of Drallian.

Thunderhead Slayer

I love making removable magnetic masks for these guys:

The sickles also have magnetic chains, so they can be linked together, draped around his neck, or separated.

I’ll be working on a few more Coarsetoys figures coming up, and I’m so excited to be working on these figures! it’s such a cool platform, and it’s an honor to be trusted to mess up a $250+ piece of vinyl! ;)

I’m getting super booked up through the rest of the year, but may have some limited availability for commissions here and there, for inquiries, please shoot me an email at Josh (at symbol) fplusnever.com

Also, if you;re looking for more instant gratification, I just put up a few of my newest pieces in my online shop here: fplus.bigcartel.com

The Lost Mage

“After The Great Wars, the majiks where divided amongst the clans and orders. All creatures possess majik to some degree or another, but it was agreed by all that the pursuit of majik be divided, lest any one clan gain too much strength and upset the delicate balance of the lands. This is worldwide law, that no student of one majik may ever study another.

The Lost Mage, is a rogue that was rejected from his original clan hundreds of years ago. His name and true age lost in the sands of time and travel; he scours the lands for relics and knowledge of particularly powerful majiks, in a constant pursuit for the greatest majik the world has ever known. It is unknown if his motivations are good or evil, but regardless, he is the most wanted mage in the world. To be killed upon sight. Only a soon-dead fool would think that to be a simple task.”

Did this mega for an awesome and patient collector. I’ve had this design sitting around for a year now, so it was nice to finally bring it to life!

At this size, I probably could have gotten away with actual fabrics, but I like to do things the hard way. :)

Munny Month Contest Entry

Whew! What a month it’s been! Moved to OR, Got into a great new gallery, and lined up a show for Last Thursday. Oh, what’s this? Family reunion in Vegas? Custom Munny contest? Deadlines for everything fast approaching? Such is the way of an f+ existence i guess! But this is HUGE SIGH OF RELIEF, to know all that’s behind me!

Not to say I’m really any less busy, I’ve still got a dozen things on my plate that all need my immediate attention, but at least now they all feel more attainable then everything did looking down the barrel of the beginning of the month!

I’ve got a bunch of stuff to update on, but for now I’ll do what everyone has been waiting for, my contest entry:

“The Grand Luminarian of the Candelabra”

Grand luminarian

Some of you may remember the small run of dunnies I did at the beginning of the year, the “Army of the Black Candelabra” which featured soldiers and generals, This guy is more like a hero of the army, a sole force that could bring down the opposition!

Grand Luminarian

“The Grand Luminarian is a warrior of epic proportions. Forged from the flames of hundreds of battles, only the truly gifted are given the rank of Luminarian, and only then, are the heros given the standard of “Grand Luminarian”. With armor sculpted from majik marble and gold, wings made of brilliant swords, and a head adorned with the most powerful candles of enchantment, a Grand luminarian not only fights like he is blessed with invulnerability, but also casts an aura of light that enhances all his nearby allies abilities and offers various protections against opposing majiks. It has often been rumored, that to slay a Luminarian, is to dispatch a God itself.”
