so many Spawns…

So, when i first started taking commissions, I got a lot of requests for Spawns. It’s been a blast doing them, and I’ve always tried to make each one different. I imagine at some point I’ll stop doing Spawns as my original designs are becoming more and more popular, but for now, I thought it would be fun to reflect on all the pieces I have done so far:

The first one ever. Thanks for taking a chance on me Yasmeen! ;)

Then came Wings of redemption:

Manga Spawn:

then came two iterations of Mandarin:

back in black:

Samurai:

wings version 2:

and the latest, Commando:

So that’s it so far! I’m a huge Spawn fan, so each one of these has been a great pleasure to do! I’ve still got a few more versions I’d like to do, gunslinger, viking, and maybe a maskless one at some point. Hopefully I can find the time to do these soon! :)

Keepers of the Silhouette Tower

“It appears to be a massive column of ghostly blue tinged smoke, but at times, seems almost solid, perhaps even living, twisting and radiating with illusive energy. No birds fly near it, no animals inhabit it’s surrounding mountains. Even the trees that grow nearby, are twisted and dead from it’s majik taint.

In the times before The world was as it is today, when the Majiks were undivided and power was raw and unweilded by most, and exploited by others, there were those who sought to protect from those that seek to destroy absolutely. These ancestors had access and knowledge far beyond that of any mage today, and with this power they built a supremely powerful weapon of majik, so much power radiating from it’s core that no one has come within a mile of it and lived.

It is said that inside the Silhouette tower, time does not exist. Inside, the tower is inhabited by 4 councils of monks to govern it’s use and protect the tower. They serve as the immortal key that will unlock it’s power in a time of dire need. Some believe this to be no more than a story, told to scare those that seek to assemble against other lands, but truth be told, there are very few that don’t fear the day the Silhoutte Tower releases whatever it keeps inside upon the world.”

This will be my next set of custom 3″ dunnies, the above picture is just a rough design.

There will be four colorways 5x of each color. I am still doing some tests to get the final colors lined up. I’ll be posting actual pics very soon. They should all be done by the beginning of next month or so.

Pricing will be $85 each shipped, anywhere in the world this time. :)

The other big thing I’m going to do with this set, is one lucky buyer will win a custom 8″ of one of the 13 majik houses of their choice!

STAY TUNED FOR MORE DETAILS! :)

My first custom jaws.

So, a little while back, a collector asked me if I’d be interested in customizing a Coarsetoys jaws figure, to which I instantly responded “F- yeah!”. I can’t say I’ve ever seen a custom Jaws, except for the one coarsetoys itself has done.

I would guess this is mainly due to the cost of the figure itself, which is no $25 munny. So, the pressure was really on to make this piece count as one of very few customs of it’s kind. I would love to do more of these. It;s a really great platform with tons of options, and I nice, lean, break from the chubby little Kidrobot figures I’ve been doing so much of!

true to my fantasy form, I decided to go with a Dragon slaying knight, originally, he was going to be a little less dark, but as I went along, I realize how well the design lended itself to a darker, more brooding character. So I decided to make him a total badass, with a possessed sword and the savage powers of a dragon burning inside of him. Here come, many, many pics:

The sword slides in and out of the back holster nicely.

The Mask attaches to magnetic ear piercings on both sides of his head. holds on quite well actually. :)

Hopefully I’ll get a chance to do another one of these very soon! :)
