Instead of the usual fiction I right for a piece, I’d like to tell a true story:
Unbeknownst to me when I took this commission, this piece was perfectly timed for this part of my life. I was asked to do a monk character, and for a while, although I was excited about the concept, it was a commission, part of my job as a full time artist.
Then I went to the hospital.

So as a few of you may have noticed, I’ve been a little quieter than usual as of late. The biggest reason for this, is that I’ve been slowly whittling away at something I’ve been thinking about for a long time. Like several years now.
